Ravi Somani is a PhD Candidate at University College London and a Doctoral Fellow at the World Bank's `Bureaucracy Lab'. His main research fields are development economics, labour economics, and applied microeconomics. His research primarily focuses on the interaction between the public sector and the wider labour market and the personnel economics of public-sector organisations. Previously, Ravi was an Overseas Development Institute Fellow at the Ministry of Education, Ethiopia, and continues to work with the Government of Ethiopia on public-sector governance and civil-service reform.
