Andrew Garin is Assistant Professor of Economics at Carnegie Mellon University, Heinz College. He is a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research as well as a Research Associate of the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA). He received his Ph.D. from Harvard University and his A.B. from Brown University. He is a labor economist whose research agenda focuses on understanding how firm behavior and labor market structure drive broader trends in economic inequality and mobility and to draw lessons for policy.
