Ciro Avitabile is a Senior Economist in the Education Global Practice at the World Bank. Previously, he has been a Senior Lecturer at the University of Surrey and a Modigliani Fellow at the University of Naples Federico II. He received a PhD in Economics from University College London. He is an applied microeconomist with interests in development and education.
