Emilio Depetris-Chauvin is an Assistant Professor of Economics and Political Science at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. His main areas of research are political economy, economic development, and cliometrics; all with a particular emphasis on the causes and consequences of conflict and violence. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Universidad de Buenos Aires (2003) and a Ph.D. in Economics from Brown University (2014). He has published in the Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Economics Development, and the Economic Journal.
