Fatiq is a PhD student at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He applies tools from applied microeconomics, statistics, and remote sensing to understand how citizens in developing countries make decisions about natural resources. His recent research focuses on the causes and consequences of air pollution and evaluates the effectiveness of various adaptation mechanisms aimed at mitigating the impacts of climate change.
Before joining the Bren School, Fatiq completed a Pre-Doctoral Fellowship at Evidence in Governance and Politics (EGAP) and earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Economics from the Lahore University of Management Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan.
