Hemant is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Deakin University. His work focuses on the intersection of agriculture, development, and environmental economics. Previously, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Center on Food Security and the Environment (FSE), Stanford University, working with the ECHO: Environmental Change and Human Outcomes Lab and the Lobell lab. He received his PhD from the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.Hemant is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Deakin University.
