Lixin Tang is an associate professor of economics at the Institute for Economic and Social Research, Jinan University. He received his PhD in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Bachelor of Science from Bates College. His research focuses on emerging technologies—such as e-commerce and industrial robots—and international trade in developing countries, with a particular emphasis on China.
