Wei Luo is an assistant professor in the School of Economics at Jinan University. She earned her Ph.D. from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Her primary research interests lie in development economics, labour economics, and public economics. Her work has been published in the Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Population Economics, and Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization. Her work received the Best Paper Award from the China Association for Labor Studies both in 2023 and 2024.
