Barthélémy Bonadio is an Assistant Professor of Economics at New York University – Abu Dhabi. Prior to that, he was a postdoctoral fellow at HEC Lausanne. He holds a PhD from the University of Michigan, a MSc from the London School of Economics and a Bachelors from the University of Geneva.
His research is in international economics. He uses quantitative spatial models combined with micro data to study the determinants and consequences of trade costs such as infrastructures or tariffs and also studies the propagation of shocks though global value chains.
