A.V. Chari is a Reader in Economics at the University of Sussex. His research interests center around labor markets, productivity and health issues in developing countries. His current projects include a study of public sector disinvestment in India and a field experiment in Nigeria to understand the role of social networks in in propagating information about cervical cancer screening. His research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).
