Pei Gao

Pei Gao is an assistant professor at Yale-NUS College. Before coming to Singapore, She was an assistant professor at NYU-Shanghai and Global Network Assistant Professor at NYU. Pei’s first degree was in economics from Xinan Jiaotong University, China. She subsequently received a Master of Science and a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her research interests include economic history and development economics, with a special focus on education and health. In her research, she seeks to understand the historical roots of modern development.
