Meritxell Gisbert is an Assistant Professor and Research Support Technician at the University Autonoma of Barcelona (Spain). She holds a PhD in Geography, Territorial Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona. Some of her research interests are historical cartography, changes in land uses and covers, and forest fires. Her research has been published in academic journals such as Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists, Planning Perspectives and Science of The Total Environment, and Applied geography.
