Senior Country Economist, Uruguay, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)
I am a Senior Country Economist for Uruguay at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) where I am in charge of the country strategy, macroeconomic monitoring, and the knowledge agenda. Previously, I worked at the Social Sector and at the Integration and Trade Sector of the IDB. My research interests are on international trade and international migration, labor economics, and experimental economics. I have published my research in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Development Economics and the Journal of International Economics, I have coauthored two flagship IDB reports, and I have published numerous technical notes and discussion papers. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland.
