Shiran Victoria Shen is a Senior Research Scholar and serves as the lead for the China Energy Program at the Precourt Institute for Energy, Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. Her research centers on how incentives, institutions, and information drive climate and environmental actions at the government, firm, and group levels, with a particular emphasis on the Global South. She is the author of The Political Regulation Wave: A Case of How Local Incentives Systematically Shape Air Quality in China (Cambridge University Press, 2022).
