Aruna Ranganathan is an Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Her research combines field-experimental and quantitative research designs with ethnography and interviews to study how people in low-income occupations in developing countries understand and respond to their work and how organizations affect workplace and social inequality. She earned a Ph.D. in management from the Work and Organizational Studies Group at MIT Sloan School of Management.
