Bastien Michel is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Nantes University. He works on early childhood development and women’s empowerment in Africa, with a particular focus on West Africa. He obtained his MSc from the Paris School of Economics and his PhD in Economics from Aarhus University. Prior to this, he worked for J-PAL in France, India, and Kenya.
