Carolina Corral is an international development professional with more than fifteen years of experience in applied economic research and managing large scale randomized controlled trials in Latin-America and Africa for Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), Qué Funciona para el Desarrollo (QFD), and Precision Agriculture for Development (PAD),
In recent years, she specialized in developing e-extension platforms for the Inter-American Development Bank, the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Centre (CIMMYT), and the private sector. These platforms seek to increase smallholder farmers' adoption of efficient and sustainable agricultural practices using mobile communication channels and early warning systems based on remote sensing applications.
She holds a B.A in Economics from McGill University and M.Sc. in Economics from Université de Montréal.
