Christos Koulovatianos

Christos Koulovatianos is Professor in Macroeconomics at the University of Luxembourg and a Research Fellow of the Center for Financial Studies, Goethe University Frankfurt. He completed his PhD at the University of Rochester in 1999. Before joining Luxembourg, Christos has worked as Associate Professor/Reader at the University of Nottingham, as Assistant Professor at the University of Vienna, as Visiting Professor at the Goethe University Frankfurt, and as Lecturer at the University of Cyprus, while he had shorter stays at the University of Kiel and Exeter Business School.
Christos’ research interests lie in the broad area of dynamic competitive-equilibrium micro-founded macroeconomics and finance, with focus on theoretical and empirical aspects of demand aggregation under demographic heterogeneity, expectations under Bayesian learning and economic dynamics, asset pricing, household investments and household portfolio choice, fiscal policy with emphasis on taxation, dynamic models of voting, oligopolistic competition in general equilibrium, innovation economics, growth/development economics, and resource economics. His work has been published in outlets such as the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Journal of Economic Theory, the Journal of Public Economics, the Review of Economic Dynamics, and the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics.
