Federico Araya is a Magister in Economics at the Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y de Administración of the Universidad de la República in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Since 2012 he has worked in the Statistical Unit of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Uruguay. His research focuses on labor markets and youth unemployment.
Currently he is teaching Macroeconomics 1 and Macroeconomics 3 at the Facultad de Ciencias Económicas.
