Francisco Pino is an Assistant Professor of Economics in the School of Economics and Business at the University of Chile. He is also researcher at the Centre for Social Conflict and Cohesion Studies (COES).

His fields of interest are Political Economy, Development Economics and Economic History. He also has an interest and experience in Public Economics and Labor Economics. His current research is focused on understanding the impact of political institutions on economic as well as political outcomes, particularly in the context of under-represented groups. He considers institutions in a broad sense, ranging from electoral systems to land and social security reforms.
