

Hamilton Taveras
Head of Data Governance Department, Dominican Republic General Directorate
Hamilton Taveras is the Head of the Data Governance Department and former Head of the Risk Analysis, Prioritization, and Treatment Unit at the Dominican Republic's General Directorate of Internal Revenue. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo and Master's degrees in Economics from both Georgetown University (USA) and ILADES-University Alberto Hurtado (Chile). Taveras has extensive experience in tax policy and has worked on consulting projects for the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank across Latin America. In addition, Taveras also teaches at the Pontifical Catholic University Mother and Teacher and the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo.
