Lena Song is a Postdoctoral Scholar at Columbia University and will be an Assistant Professor of Economics at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign starting 2023. She studies media and information technologies, with a focus on their relationship to diversity and inequality. Much of her work involves original data collection including archival research or field experiments. She received her PhD in economics from New York University.
