M. R. Sharan’s research centres around questions in development economics and political economy. He has worked as a researcher and policy economist, with research organizations, state governments and the central government in India. He graduated from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in May 2020. Prior to that, he obtained degrees in Economics at Hans Raj College and the Delhi School of Economics. He will be a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Centre for Global Development in Fall 2020 and start as Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, Agricultural and Resource Economics (AREC) Department in January 2021.
