María José Fuentes-Vásquez is a postdoctoral fellow at Universitat de Barcelona and a visiting scholar at Universitat de València. She has a PhD in Economic History from the Universitat de Barcelona. Her research focuses on issues related to education and gender. She is also interested in economic history and studies the role that historical institutions play in explaining economic growth and inequality in the long run.
