Monica Singhal is an Associate Professor in the Economics department at UC Davis and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Her primary research field is public finance, with a particular focus on taxation and redistribution and public finance in developing economies. She is a co-editor of the Journal of Public Economics and an associate editor for International Tax and Public Finance and the Journal of Development Economics. She received her AB and PhD from Harvard University.
