Ricardo Gomez-Carrera

Ricardo Gomez-Carrera is an economist at the World Inequality Lab. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Development from the Paris School of Economics (PSE) and a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). He has served as an economist in the research division of the Mexican Central Bank and has gained professional experience at the Mexican Ministry of Finance. His research focuses on development economics, with a current focus on understanding how human capital formation influences life outcomes in developing contexts. He has research in topics such as the economics of education, early childhood development, labor economics, inequality, urban economics, and health economics.
