Raquel Oliveira is an Economist at the Research Department of the Central Bank of Brazil (Banco Central do Brasil). She received her PhD in Finance at the University of Sao Paulo in 2007. She was a visiting scholar at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, in the academic year of 2012-2013 and in the Fall term of 2009. She is an Associate Editor of the RC&F USP (Revista Contabilidade e Finanças USP). Her research interests include the relationship of finance and economic development, financial intermediation, financial inclusion, and gender.
