Sarah Baird is an Associate Professor of Global Health and Economics in the Department of Global Health in the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University. Dr. Baird is a development economist whose research focuses on the microeconomics of health and education in developing countries with an emphasis on Sub-Saharan Africa. Her research has been featured in a variety of media outlets including The Economist and the New York Times. She received her Ph.D. in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at UC Berkeley in 2007.
