Sarah Cattan is a Senior Research Economist in the Skills sector at the Institute for Fiscal Studies. She joined the IFS in 2012 and currently holds a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship to study child development and household behaviour in developed and developing countries. Sarah's general research interests include human capital formation, labour markets and inequality. In the recent past, she has conducted research into the following specific areas: early childhood development; the impact of childcare policies on maternal labour supply; and the gender wage gap.
