Sugandha Srivastav

Sugandha Srivastav is an applied microeconomist interested in innovation to address both climate change and development. She holds a PhD in Environmental Economics from the University of Oxford (2023) and her postdoctoral work is supported by the British Academy Fellowship. In 2023, she received the CESifo Distinguished Research Affiliate Award (Energy & Environment) for her research on feed-in tariffs to bring grid-scale solar to market. She was also invited to be a referee for UChicago's market shaping accelerator led by Michael Kramer, where she refereed first stage proposals for advanced market commitments to bring clean technologies to market. Prior to academia, she worked as a practising environmental and energy economist for several years, advising on carbon pricing, renewable energy policy, green industrial policy and natural resource management across Asia, Africa, and Europe (see here).
