Victor Villa is a climate security specialist with a solid quantitative and econometric background, part of the CGIAR Climate Security Focus team since 2019. He is currently based in Nairobi, where he contributes to the regional CGIAR work and the establishment of partnerships in Kenya. Victor evaluates how climate change affects social security through various context-specific drivers. By utilizing statistical and spatial analysis techniques along with innovative quantitative approaches, his work primarily focuses on assessing and quantifying the impact of climate change and variability on numerous social factors, such as migration, displacement, and conflict occurrence. He holds an M.Sc. degree in Spatial and Environmental Economics from Vrije University in Amsterdam.
