Andrea Smurra is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies. Previously, he managed the Jobs of the World Project, and was Country Economist for the International Growth Centre in Myanmar. He received his PhD from University College London in 2023.
Andrea Smurra is an applied microeconomist. His research focuses on labour and gender, but he is also interested in questions related to State capacity and Political Economy, and has projects in India, Sierra Leone, Italy and Myanmar.
