Astrid Zwager
Research Officer, World Bank Development Impact Department (DIME).
Astrid Zwager is a Research Officer in the World Bank Development Impact Department (DIME). She works on the design and implementation of large-scale policy experiments. In her role she focusses on supporting governments and development practitioners in setting up research agenda’s tailored to their evidence needs and the generation and use of rigorous evidence to inform development programs.
Her research focusses on agricultural technology adoption, access to markets, food security, rural infrastructure and education. She has previously worked in Brazil, Mozambique, The Gambia, Malawi and Madagascar. Astrid holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Amsterdam.
