Senior Economist, World Bank Development Impact Department (DIME)
Caio Piza is a Senior Economist in the World Bank Development Impact Department (DIME), where he currently leads the research agenda in private sector development, with special attention on labor demand. More recently, he has developed growing interest in the labour supply, particularly on the youth transition from school to the labour market. Before joining DIME, Caio was a research fellow at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, DC, and an assistant professor at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in São Paulo, Brazil. Caio holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Sussex in the UK.
