Emanuel Ornelas
Professor of Economics at Sao Paulo School of Economics
Emanuel Ornelas is a Professor at Sao Paulo School of Economics-FGV. Prior to FGV, he was an Associate Professor at the London School of Economics. He is a fellow of the Econometric Society. He is also a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research and a Research Associate of LSE’s Centre for Economic Performance, CESifo, and the International Growth Centre. Between 2010-2022, he was an Associate Editor of the Journal of International Economics. Emanuel holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has presented his work in over 200 professional conferences and academic institutions, and has published his research in several leading academic journals. Emanuel has investigated several topics related to international trade, including the political economy of the formation and the consequences of regional trade agreements, and the internationalization process of exporting firms.
