Emily Beam is an associate professor at the University of Vermont and research fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA). She is a development economist working in the areas of employment, education, and economic inclusion. Prior to joining UVM, she was a visiting assistant professor at the National University of Singapore. She holds a Ph.D. in economics and public policy from the University of Michigan.
