Firman Witoelar is a Fellow at the Indonesia Project, Arndt-Corden Department of Economics, Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University. His research interests are in the broad area of microeconomics of development including health, education, and labor. He also works on survey design and impact evaluation. Firman was as one of the Co-Principal Investigators of the Indonesia Family Life Survey Wave 4 (2007) and Wave 5 (2014).
Firman received his PhD in economics from Michigan State University. He is a faculty affiliate at Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and at CPC Learning Network, Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University.
