Innocente Murasi
Deputy Commissioner General of Rwanda Revenue Authority
Dr. Innocente Murasi holds a PhD in Public Management and Governance from the University of Johannesburg and a Master's in Economics from Stellenbosch University. She is now serving as the Deputy Commissioner General of Rwanda Revenue Authority. She has previously served as the Strategy and Risk Analysis Commissioner in the same organization. She also served as the Director of the Local Government Institute to champion establishing a Master’s program in Local Governance and several capacity-building programs. She also served successively as an assistant lecturer at the National University of Rwanda (Currently University of Rwanda) and as a National Budget Expert in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning. She specializes in public management, development and modernization, local economic development, and policy analysis. She has been an active United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) resource person in mainstreaming SDG in public administration.
