Maddalena Honorati is a Senior Economist at the Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice of the World Bank. She holds a PhD in Economics from Bocconi University and a M.Sc. from Pompeu Fabra University. Her interest has focused on the design and evaluation of social safety nets and employment programs in developing countries and on strategies to mitigate the social impacts of energy tariffs increases and job transitions due to the green transition. She authored global, regional and country reports on social safety nets and jobs diagnostics, research papers on labor market issues including policies to foster skills, employability and entrepreneurship.
