Michael Poyker is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Economics, University of Nottingham. He got his Ph.D. in Economics at the University of California, Los Angeles, Anderson School of Management in 2018. Before joining the University of Nottingham, he worked at Columbia Business School from 2018 to 2020 as a postdoctoral researcher. Poyker’s research interests include applied microeconomics, development economics, political economy, and economic history. His main research interests focus primarily on cultural norms and social justice.
