Tadeja Gračner

Tadeja Gračner is an economist at the RAND Corporation. Her research lies at the intersection of development and health economics. She has written on socio-economic determinants of and behavioral risk factors for obesity and related chronic diseases across lifespan, as well as how fiscal and other policies can be used to modify behavior to mitigate or manage them. This work spans several countries (e.g., US, Mexico, Chile, and the UK). In some of her other work she also examined causal impacts of infrastructure policy interventions on economic development, as well as on mobility of women and people with disabilities in Indonesia. Prior to joining RAND, she obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, an MSc Economics degree from the London School of Economics, and a BSc in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana.
