Christina Wieser

Christina Wieser is a Senior Economist of the Poverty and Equity Global Practice. Her work is focused on economic mobility, forced displacement, and distributional analysis. Moreover, she focuses on collecting high-quality data to enable evidence-based policymaking by linking economic shocks with their impact on the livelihoods of the poor. Since joining the World Bank in 2014, she has worked in South Asia as well as East and West Africa. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, Christina worked as an Economist at the International Labour Organization and in the private sector. Christina holds a Master of Science Degree in Economics from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and an MBA from the University of Memphis.
